I like your concept very much. The lighting is very good as all the colors and blending. But I feel the addition of the fairy should be left out and just have all the animals, the impact would be the same. And I would also move the bird over as I didn't even know what it was at first until I read your credits. I like how the squirrel is peering down at the fox. I hope you don't mind my input and my critique, remember it's just in my opinion only and others may find the fairy a great addition. Good job overall :)

Great composition of very different stocks.
Could be a photoshot.

I also want to say that initially I agreed with =LoriVintage55 about the fairy not being there, but I don't like the bunny nearly as much. I think that same colour as the fox still needs to be there. The fact that the fairy blends in more works better in my opinion. The bunny just takes the focal point away from the fox. It's too bright white.

I suppose I could've found a better bunny than the one I did :D But it was so cute and black and white that I couldn't resist. If you like the idea of a bunny over a fairy, I could find a more blendable one :D Again, I really appreciate your input

I'm not sure the bunny is the right creature for the piece. It's a bit too domestic looking. If you actually wanted to try another picture, something like this would be better - [link]

(I don't actually know if that picture is good for manipulating, but I thought it was a good example of a cute little creature that would add something to the piece by it's curious nature... and the colour was right. :) )

Saying all that, your original picture is lovely.

I never thought of porcupines as cute until now! :giggle: What an adorable picture. I'll probably leave this picture on the back burner for now, but it's always nice to have ideas to work on when I'm coming up dry for new pictures. I really appreciate all the time you've taken to comment and give suggestions :glomp:

This is such a beautiful picture. I love the soft glow of the sleeping fox. The squirrel blends perfectly into the tree and I hadn't even noticed the fairy until I just looked again. My eye is just immediately drawn to the fox and then the bird.

I love the silvery blue colour of the night one, but the whole picture just doesn't have the same appeal as the original. Plus, I think the creatures there are wrong for a night piece. They are behaving like daytime creatures. I think the whole appeal of the original is the lovely warm feel it has.

I hadn't thought of that, about the critters being daytime instead of nighttime. I do believe you're right though! I should've changed them to an owl and a raccoon :D Oh well, hindsight and all that.

The only thing I would change in this wonderful, magic image is I would leave the bird out (for the same reason that Allison712 mentioned); it is a bit hard to see. But I love the fairy in there!

You know what I would try with this? Changing the colours slightly. Blue tones would be magical.

[link] I am struggling :crying: I think part of the problem is I'm not sure how you mean blue tones. It's a lovely suggestion, and you'd think I'd just be able to go "tweak" and have done with it. What am I doing wrong??? :crying:

Ah sorry I'm being a bit crap with my feedback :D

What I just did was put in a new layer over it in any blue you like. Then set it to colour.

Everything will go blue. Which is fine for now.

Then go to layer> new adjustment layer> gradient map and double click on the gradient. Choose the black/white preset. Click okay. Then set that to multiply and adjust opacity.

You could play with it to get the other colours back and maybe paint into it to put in some purple and yellow tones.

Obviously you don't have to do it for this, because I think it could end up being a monster job. But it's fun to play with.

Ok. So when I first started messing with it I had just done the blue layer. Adding the gradient layer helped much. Whaddya think of the outcome? [link]

I like it! I think trying it with other things in the future would be interesting indeed - and I love the cast from the faery wings!

I'm not sure I'll do anything more with it lol. But using your suggestions was a great learning experience. I wish I could've done more, but my expertise is still lacking. I was pretty happy with the glow effects myself :D

There is a lot going on, but it all evolves around the sleeping fox that could wake up at any moment and get everyone of them. It is great, and I love this one. Great Job!!
