This reminds me of Commedia dell'arte because of the mask and also its' meaning, "unwritten or improvised drama." In this form of art the actors had to find the proper words to make the tears flow or the laughter ring; you as a visual artist have found the proper elements of color, eye candy, and picturesque ideas to allow us to come up with our own story and/or feelings for your piece. The book down there, to me, represents words that if only on two pages calls out to the owls (which the mask also represents to me with the 'nose' and facial qualities.) Owls are markers of gods, knowledge, wisdom, and fertility.....the feather in the book being a marker. So that's my little idea on it. 'Incarnazione di sapere tradizionale' means incarnation of lore in italian. Love your work!! Keep it up...
